Author Visits & Special Events
Bring the gentle wonder of Dakota’s Way to your school, library, bookstore, community group, or special event.
Stefanie Crowbright offers warm, engaging author experiences that invite children to step inside Dakota’s garden, meet its memorable creatures, and discover how imagination can transform the everyday world. Each visit can be adapted to suit the age of the children, the size of the group, and the needs of the event.
Author Reading & Conversation
Stefanie shares a selected reading from Dakota’s Way and introduces children to Dakota and her garden friends. After the reading, children are invited to ask questions about the story, its characters, and what it is like to create a children’s book.
Children can learn about the real dog who inspired Dakota’s Way through photographs, personal stories, and special details that were woven into the book. This presentation explores the loving bond between Stefanie and Dakota and shows how a real animal can inspire an entire storybook world.
Please note: This experience introduces Dakota through photographs and stories. Dakota’s attendance is not included unless arranged separately and appropriate for the setting.
